⛱️ Can You Walk From Lauterbrunnen To Murren
Begin at Lauterbrunnen Bergbahn Station in Muerren, it is a leisurely walk downhill from Muerren (if you are a glutton for punishment you can do it in reverse). The path starts along the railway line but quickly takes you onto a forest trail where you will wander through forest and fields always with glimpses of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.
This is a 3hr.11min journey with 3-4 transportation changes. Once you arrive at Interlaken Ost, you walk over to track 2A and take the 22-minute ride on the local Jungfraubahn into Lauterbrunnen. Very scenic. At Lauterbrunnen, you walk across the street to the gondola station and up you go. 6 minutes later, you are at Grutshalp.

Waterfalls of the valley More about the valley. Lauterbrunnen is an approximately eight kilometres long U-shaped valley near the Lauterbrunnen wall. Its area is 164.51 km2. The valley starts with the village of the same name and ends at Stechelberg (you can get there by car, bus, or on foot).
A fantastic ascent hike in the Lauterbrunnen valley starting in Lauterbrunnen. The path leads through the village and then along the Gryffenbach. Step 2: Lauterbrunnen to Grutschalp (Cable Car / 5 minutes) The first option for step 2 is to take a 5 minute cable car up from Lauterbrunnen to Grutschalp. The cable car station is right outside of the train station and can’t be missed. Step 3: Grutschalp to Murren (Mountain Railway / 15 minutes)
Mürren station is the terminus of the shortest railway line in the Jungfrau Region. It is only four kilometres long. The trains of the Lauterbrunnen-Mürren (BLM) mountain railway bring passengers from Grütschalp station to the Winteregg middle station and the car-free resort of Mürren. At the other end of the track is the Grütschalp.
